CAGING:
Anyone bringing poultry to the fair (4-H or FFA) needs to contact one of the superintendents by JULY 20 for CAGING ASSIGNMENTS.
ANIMAL ARRIVAL:
Poultry are allowed onto the fairgrounds beginning on WEDNESDAY.

OPEN CLASS & FFA poultry must be in place by 7:00 AM THURSDAY

4-H Poultry must be in place by 5:00 PM WEDNESDAY

All poultry are RELEASED no sooner than 6:00 PM on SUNDAY.
ANIMAL HEALTH AND IDENTIFICATION
NO ANIMAL may enter the fairgrounds showing clinical signs of any infectious,
contagious, or communicable DISEASE.

Any animal WITHOUT PROPER IDENTIFICATION, or showing SIGNS OF DISEASE,
will be required to LEAVE THE FAIRGROUNDS IMMEDIATELY.
HEALTH:
Chickens, turkeys, game birds, and hatching eggs from these birds must be accompanied by a certificate or test chart approved by the MN Board of Animal Health to show compliance with the following requirements:
1. Pullorum-typhoid

All Chickens, turkeys, game birds, and hatching eggs from these birds must originate from a hatchery or breeding flock that is classified U.S. Pullorum-Typhoid Clean under NPIP or be negative to a pullorum-typhoid test within 90 days prior to the opening of the exhibition.
2. Certificate/test

All poultry must be accompanied by a certificate or test chart that shows compliance with these requirements. Examples can be found on the MN Board of Animal Health website: http://www.bah.state.mn.us/official-id/#poultry

IDENTIFICATION:
Upon arrival, exhibitors must provide the following written information:
1) EXHIBITOR INFO: name, address, phone number
2) ANIMAL ID INFO: Official identification information for each separate animal (one of the following):

Leg or Wing Band
Chickens, turkeys, and game birds at exhibitions, except baby poultry, must be individually identified with a leg or wing band.
