STALLING:
Anyone bringing dairy cattle to the fair
(4-H, FFA,

Open Class) needs to contact a superintendent by

JULY 20 for STALLING ARRANGEMENTS.

 

​

CATALOG ENTRY:

All Open Class animal entry information must also be submitted by JULY 20 for the SHOW CATALOG.

​

  • For each animal, include:

Breed, Lot #, Animal Name, Birth Date,

Sire, Dam, Exhibitor Name

​

BEDDING/AREA PREP:
Dairy exhibitors will be ALLOWED TO BED

their stalling area starting on TUESDAY.
 

​

​

ANIMAL ARRIVAL:
Cattle are allowed onto the fairgrounds

beginning on WEDNESDAY. 

 

All dairy cattle must be in place on 

THURSDAY @ 7:00 AM

 

Dairy cattle are RELEASED no

sooner than 6:30 PM on SUNDAY

ANIMAL HEALTH AND IDENTIFICATION

IDENTIFICATION:

Upon arrival, exhibitors must provide the following written information:

 

1) EXHIBITOR INFO: name, address, phone number

​

2) OFFICIAL ANIMAL ID INFO: Official identification information for each separate animal (one of the following):

 

 

1) National Uniform Ear Tagging System (NUES)

  • Begins with the official state number; “41”for MN

​​

​​

 

2) Animal Identification Number (AIN) System

  • Consists of 15 digits, beginning with “ 840”

(Includes “840” tags bearing the 4H logo)
 

  • Visual or Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)

​

​​

       

​

3) Breed Registry Tattoos and Tags
 

  • Acceptable if accompanied by documentation

     listing the breed registration number

​

  • Pending registrations are not acceptable

 

  • Valid only for movement in MN and import from

     Iowa, Missouri, or South Dakota.

 

 

​

NO ANIMAL may enter the fairgrounds showing clinical signs of any infectious,

contagious, or communicable DISEASE, including ringworm and warts.

​

Any animal WITHOUT PROPER IDENTIFICATION, or showing SIGNS OF DISEASE,

will be required to LEAVE THE FAIRGROUNDS IMMEDIATELY.

TRAILERS

All livestock trailers must enter the

fairgrounds through the North Gate.

When leaving the fairgrounds, trailers can exit through the South Gate (near the carnival) or the Northwest Gate (between the 4-H and goat buildings).

 

**Trailers can be parked to the East of the Grandstand. Follow gravel road on North side of Fairgrounds back and park behind Sheriff's Building in grassy area.
